August 25th, 2007 — sourcing
Good question. To make money with a blog, you need to keep your content fresh and interesting but sometimes that’s not always an easy thing to do. It’s important to post regularly and often too, or the readership that you have so carefully and diligently nurtured will rapidly start to fall away with noting of any value or interest to read.
So sometimes you have to get inspiration from other sources. One good way I find when I’m stuck for an idea to post about is to spend some time reading other people’s blogs, or checking out the ton of free article databases that can be found everywhere on the web.
I often seem to come across an article or post that has some interesting information that I just hadn’t thought about. So I make some rough notes about what I’ve just found, making sure I’ve got the bare facts straight, then set about writing a post of my own about what I’ve just discovered.
It’s not plagiarism, as the post is in my own words and after all, news is news and is copied all over the place every day! It’s all down to the way you tell it!
So if you’re ever stuck for what to write about, go do some research and surprise yourself at what’s out there to be learned!

MAKE MONEY
August 22nd, 2007 — Make Money
Make money and keep your content fresh and regularly updated at the same time. Following on from the last make money tip, there is another “paid to review” site that is definitely worthy of a mention.
ReviewMe also pay you to blog about websites or opportunities that they put up on their site. They have a slightly different format to BlogsVertise in that opportunities are displayed that are relevant to your blog when you click the “View Campaigns” tab. Again, you have control over whether you accept the opportunity or not.
You can make money posting reviews on your blog for ReviewMe as long as your blog is over the regulation three months old. Although you may be accepted with a PR0 blog, it would help your cause to at least have a decent alexa rank. I already make money from my Honest Way blog by writing paid reviews for ReviewMe. Again, the higher your blog’s PR and popularity, the more opportunities will be available to you to make money from.
On the flip side, if you are an advertiser, or have a website that you would like to promote through ReviewMe they can give your business a great amount of exposure by having custom written reviews by a number of different professional bloggers, adding a new dimension to your advertising campaign.
Whether you are a blogger who would like to make money from writing reviews, or an advertiser who would like some excellent and professional exposure, contact ReviewMe using the link below:

MAKE MONEY The Honest Way
August 20th, 2007 — Make Money
Here we go with the next great way of how to make money with your blog.
BlogsVertise.
Every heard of them? Well, this is one for a slightly older blog - 3 months old to be precise. By the time your blog has been around for three months, you should have at least acquired a reasonable number of regular and repeat visitors. Then you stand a good chance of your blog being accepted by Blogsvertise and you can start to make money from your blog.
My older blog, The Honest Way is getting around 250 regular visits a day now and is registered and does make money from BlogsVertise, amongst others. But in it’s first couple of month of existence, I didn’t know a fraction of the stuff I know now about turning a blog into a money making machine. Because of that I wasted a lot of precious time and the blog still hasn’t managed to rise above a PR0. More effort on my part in the last couple of months should alter that situation soon. But for this Make Money blog, which is less than a month old, the prospect that I am going to discuss is out of reach for another couple of months at least.
So what is BlogsVertise? Notice how I’m not linking to it all over the place - this is not a paid review for them, just an information post to show you what is out there for you to monetize your blog.
BlogsVertise is in simple terms, a go-between putting advertisers in touch with bloggers - otherwise described as publishers, which is what bloggers are in effect. The idea is fairly simple.
Advertisers want bloggers to review their website or opportunity and are willing to pay for the service. When an advertiser has a site they want reviewed, BlogsVertise offer it to a relevant blog in the list. They go pretty much in rotation, but be warned a higher ranking blog will get more offers and make money in greater amounts than a low ranking one. That said, when you are given an offer, you can first check it out and if it fits with the theme of your blog or is relevant to what you blog about, then you accept the offer and go ahead and review the site. If you don’t like the offer, you can of course refuse it and it goes back into the pool and the next blog on the list gets the offer.
Assuming you accept the offer and write and publish your review, it’ll be checked and if it’s ok, you get paid whatever was agreed as part of the offer, via PayPal. Simple?
Yep. That’s about how it works. There are some rules you have to abide by, but they’re all pretty straight forward and simple enough to follow. If you are interested in giving it a go, I’ll post a link for you:
