WidgetBucks to Make Money for Bloggers

Earn $$ with WidgetBucks!

I just read in my travels that top blogger John Chow has unveiled yet another fantastic way to make money online with your blog. It’s called WidgetBucks.

I was well impressed by what I read, so I went straight over there and signed up! It looks like it could be a desperately needed replacement for either Auction Ads or more importantly Adsense, especially if you are a blogger outside the US.

While it most probably won’t beat Adsense earnings, if your site is promoting certain niche products, like mp3 players or music, cds, dvds, books, sports items etc, there0s a good chance you’ll do well.

How Does it Work?

WidgetBucks works by placing a graphical banner on your blog or site. You then make money based on the amount of clicks (not sales) you get, in a similar way to Adsense.

WidgetBucks has a minimum payout of $50, but there is a sweetener in that to get you started they’re giving you $25 which is deposited in your account upon sign-up. Payments are then made at the end of each month assuming you’ve reached the minimum, which is either by cheque or PayPal deposit.

WidgetBucks currently has around 12 categories for you to choose your ads from. As well as these, there are sub-categories in each (eg family, media, sports, video games, cars etc). This means that for the present at least, it’s better suited to certain niche blogs. That means if your blog is about Internet Marketing or Make Money, the product choices are rather on the limited side.

But that shouldn’t stop most inventive marketers from getting something from this. WidgetBucks does offer an option that you can select for it to crawl your blog or site so it can match the ads to your content (similar to the way adsense works).

There are several banner size and colour options available for your site, which should be plenty to get you up and running.

This is especially interesting for those of us who have been banned from Adsense, or those who are finding that Auction Ads simply aren’t performing on their site or blog.

WidgetBucks might just be what the doctor ordered to make money for your blog or site.

I certainly believe it’s worth being a member of WidgetBucks and experimenting around with it. You never know, this might be your next big income stream!

So click the link below to get yourself over there and signup NOW!

A Little Squidoo Trick to Make Money

Here’s a nice trick to make money using good old Squidoo.

It’s fairly easy to do, although there’s a lot of work involved, so if you’re not up to writing a lot of content in a short space of time, then it’s probably not for you.

However, if you’ve nothing better to do and want to set up another income stream using the search engine’s favourite, Squidoo, read on…

First you’ll need to think of a niche that not too many other Internet Marketers are bothered with. The best way is to sit down with your favourite keyword search tool and start searching through some long tail (and maybe not so long tail) keywords to find a viable market to sell some affiliate products.

Once you have your keywords, you need to check the availability of affiliate products to sell. Clickbank is ok, but it has a lot of affiliates already hammering its products to death, so better to look around at some alternatives. Commission Junction is a good place to start, then get back on to Google and check out some sites with products to sell in your new-found niche. Chances are they’ll have their own affiliate program, which you should be able to sign-up for free.

Now that you have some products to market, its time to create your Squidoo lens. Its important to use your main keywords in the title of the lens, for SEO.

You’ll need to write at least three good reviews of the products in separate text modules. Include your keywords in the reviews. Add some other modules like a guestbook, maybe an Amazon list (keep it short)… if you know Squidoo, you’ll know what to add to make the lens visitable and publish-able.

Next you’ll need to create some blogs - use free servers for this as you want to spread them around different servers. Two or three will do fine to start with. They should be created with your main keywords in the title and then write some posts with your keywords in the content (but don’t keyword stuff them) about your products and highlight your lens with some links back to it.

Next, write two or three (unique) articles about your products, the lens and the blogs (with link back to your blogs - not your lens, just yet) and submit them to high PR ezine sites, like ezine articles (for a list of article directories, I have a lens with a huge links plexo of them at: Article Directory List)

Then while you’re waiting for things to happen, write some more modules for your lens and keep it up to date, write for your blogs and ping them often and very soon, once the search engine spiders find your articles (which they will quickly on high PR ezines) they will follow your links back to your blogs and in turn to your lens, pushing it up high in the search engine pages (assuming you did your keyword homework right).

Now wait for the search engines to start sending traffic to your lens and make money from theaffiliate sales you’re going to get!

Here’s to your success!

Make Money, Make Content Work For You

The content that you produce for your blog, is the cornerstone and the foundation that you create for building your blog into a machine to make money.

It takes a lot of work to keep writing good, relevant and original content for a blog and keeping it coming regularly and as often as possible. The more blogs you have to look after, of course the harder it becomes to keep them all up to date and fresh. But the harder the work that goes into those blogs in the early days of their lives, the better the rewards will be produced once they reach maturity.

So writing content is a necessary and important task that must be undertaken.

You can’t cut corners, here. No cheating by using automated article writing software either! All that produces is wooden, mechanical sounding garbage that no one really wants to read. Using software to create your blog’s content is akin to pointing a loaded gun at it’s head. Either one will surely kill it off in very little time.

Another form of semi-cheating is using the services of ghost writers to fill your blog with content. That’s infinitely better than the last option, but all the same, not everyone has the same writing style. If you use a selection of different ghost writers for a blog, your readers are going to notice the difference in the style of each article and it may turn them off your blog! Very counterproductive and expensive as well!

Better is to use a dedicated ghost writer for your blog if you really can’t manage to do the work yourself. At least your readers will get consistency in the articles. What they won’t get (and in my mind I feel that you’d be cheating them) is your personal thoughts, feelings and emotions that go into a person’s own writing style. Of course, if your blog is only ever written by one person, then the readers will not know any different.

But you will know.

That for me is tantamount to being dishonest, which is something I can’t be. That’s why I will always write my own blog entries with my own style and my own thoughts. That way I have peace of mind in knowing that my readers are getting a piece of me in every article they read.

It’s preferable (from my point of view) to miss some days out of some blogs when there are those times when I simply can’t physically write articles for all of my many blogs, squidoo lenses and websites in one day. At least its all my own work and nobody else’s.

That aside, let’s get back to the main topic of this post, which is to make money by making your content work for you.

That part is the easier to achieve, albeit in the long run. The search engines love content and the more you can produce in the early stages, then the better chance you have of being placed higher for your main keywords. As long as those keywords are consistent with your intended method of monetizing your blog, then you will attract visitors from the search engine results that will be highly targeted and have a great interest in whatever you intend to make money from.

These visitors are your future customers, so by making your content work for you now by boosting your blog up the search engine rankings, you stand a much greater chance of attracting more of these visitors to your blog. Of course, once people visit your blog and find it informative and interesting, they will return often to see what else you’re posting, giving you even greater chances to make money with the extra targeted traffic.

Content is indeed king, for more reasons than ever, now.
