Work from home, make money is what we all dream about doing, well, those of us who are hell-bent on carving out a path for ourselves in the work from home make money arena. In my last post here Fast Make Money, I talked about the techniques you can use to boost your blog or website in Google’s SERPs and how important it is to generate organic traffic to your site in order to fast make money (which was the keyword I was targeting).

I can say with all honesty that it worked very well, catapulting this work from home make money site right onto Google’s page one for the keywords fast make money. This on site SEO works very well and I have also incorporated this technique to bolster the fortunes of the JV blog I run with Monika at Blogging Web 2.0 which I’m going to give the anchored link as: On Site SEO

That should help it onto page one for that search term.

As for this work from home make money blog, I’m now (surprise, surprise) targeting the keywords work from home make money!

…Um, didn’t you just make a mistake there? You bolded the keywords from home make money but missed off the word “work”.

That was intentional.

You see, keyword research is important in ascertaining which keywords you are likely to get a lot of search traffic for and which ones have a lot of competition to fight against. In this case, I’m targeting a fairly high competition keyword in from home make money as well as home make money (not to mention the main keyword that I will eventually rank for, make money).

There is a problem with this kind of on site SEO in that it won’t produce steady results at first. I’ve watched this site hit number 3 yesterday for fast make money, then drop to position 5 in Google this morning and drop to 22 this afternoon. Now its back on page one in position 6. Here’s a screen shot as proof!

Tomorrow it’ll doubtless sway around some more as I keep adding more fast make money keyword strong content and the Google bots crawl the site. The same will doubtless happen once I rank for from home make money and the home make money keywords.

But all this is a cat and mouse game with other sites all vying for the top spots with from home make money and they will all be constantly updating their own content to outdo me. I’ll of course help my own sites by linking to them in posts like this where they are also trying to rank for certain keywords, like from home make money. In fact my new Make Money Hints site is also trying to rank for Home Make Money, so by giving it a keyword text anchored link, I’ve just increased it’s keyword authority for from home make money and it will climb higher in the serps for it.

The trick when linking to other sites is not to give too many links away in one post as you’ll end up diluting the link juice they carry and lessen their effect on the blogs you are promoting.

All this on site SEO adds up to another from home make money keyword heavy post, but I do it in the context of educating those who don’t know about this, so they can work from home, make money and do it better than they could before they knew any of this on site SEO jiggery pokery!

Fast make money ways do exist online and following on from my last post here in Make Money about how to: Easy Make Money, this post is going to be another primer on using keywords to push your blog into the high search pages of Google in particular, the others as well.

The whole fast make money reason for getting onto those high serps pages, as I explained in my last post is of course to attract a much organic search engine traffic as possible to your blog in order to get them clicking on whatever ads you have on display.

So for the purposes of fast make money, it’s good to have your main keywords (here they are make money) included relatively often in each post you make. Aim for between 3% and 5%, although the higher is better you have to be careful you don’t go much over 5% or you could get hit by penalties which do you no good if your aim is to fast make money.

But don’t stop there.

You should also write posts that concentrate on long tail keywords (in this case, fast make money) that are less searched but still count towards your main keyword density because they contain your main keywords too. To ascertain which long tail keywords to use, you’ll need a good keyword checking tool to keep your information not only accurate but also current, because what was searched for last month might not be searched for in such great numbers this month to fast make money for you.

One such excellent fast make money keyword tool is Wordtracker. It is worth its weight in gold for finding all the many long tail keywords that fit around your main keywords.

Why are long tail keywords so important?

Long tail keywords are important because they often carry much less competition than your main keywords.

On my last check, the make money keyword was searched 105,000 times approximately last month (Google) but had 92 million competing pages. Ok, that sounds an impossible nut to crack but the actual competition is just short of 100k pages.

Make money online was searched 44,000 times last month, two and a half times less than make money. Google shows 11 million competing pages - 8 times fewer than make money. But, the actual competition is around 80k pages.

That makes make money the much better keyword to go for (rather than make money online) by a long shot as it’s really only the top 100 or so pages that are going to give you a fight as they will know what they are doing SEO-wise.

So what about fast make money and all the long tail keywords?

Well, fast make money attracted around 11,500 searches last month for only 106,000 competing pages in Google. That’s well worth going for and this blog already sits on Google’s Page One for another long tail keyword (easy make money) thanks to my last post covering that particular keyword. After this post gets indexed, I expect to be up there as well.

But page two isn’t much use as far as attracting organic traffic?

True, the searches that will find this page come in at only a trickle. That’s why I want page one for fast make money and preferrably high up on page one to take advantage of all those searches and resultant traffic.

To get up to page one from page two shouldn’t be too hard, as long as I keep posting more like this and more importantly obtaining backlinks from other sites with the long tail keywords that I’m targeting (fast make money) in the anchor text. That last bit of the jigsaw is vitally important,because to fight off the stiff competition, you must have keyword authority. And getting backlinks with your keyword in the anchor text is how to do it.

So that’s the long and the short of it. How to fight your competition on a level playing field and stand a chance of beating them into those top places.

Here are some easy make money ways that anyone can apply in order to make money online from their blogs or websites. It helps if you have more than one blog or website and is even better when you have several or more.

You should always take advantage of inter-linking your sites, but there is a much more powerful way of providing each site with stronger link juice, resulting in a boost to your sites’ serps results and an ultimate rise in your easy make money levels.

Instead of simply listing all your sites in the blogroll of all your other sites, narrow it down and concentrate that link juice. You see, as far as easy make money ways are concerned diluting your link juice to all your sites that way won’t do them a lot of good, so its better to write a post about just one of your other sites in each related blog and linking to the other site from within that post.

By way of an example, I have a fairly new site in the easy make money niche that needs some link juice to help it climb the serps a little quicker, so I’m going to use this post to boost its chances.

First up, I’ve deliberately used the keywords easy make money ways for the title and throughout this post because they are precisely the keywords I want my other site to rank for this time around. Of course its main keywords are make money, but that’s a really tough nut to crack, so I’ll do it in stages and climb up using long-tail keywords bit by bit.

So I’ll link to my new site here using the keywords I want it to have keyword authority for and to make them as relevant as possible, they are also the keywords I am using for this post: Easy Make Money.

That site will get a small extra boost from this post about easy make money ways to successfully promote your own blogs and websites. Ok, this site does dilute it’s link juice a little by placing the link alongside all the other sites in the blogroll, but that’s coming from the homepage, whereas the link here is coming from a post, which is treated as a separate page by the search engines.

This is of course experimental with a fair amount of chance for success as it’s not the first time anyone has tried this and I’m sure it won’t be the last. So there’s nothing like giving a helping hand to another of my sites to boost its chances to easy make money in its niche.
