I wrote a nice post over at my other Make Money blog about using SEO to boost your traffic. The gist of it is that you need to use SEO techniques in order to boost the perceived relevance of your blog or it’s content to the niche that you are targeting in the search engine’s eyes.

Of course you do. Every blogger and website owner needs more traffic to make their business a successful one.

The various methods of increasing traffic to your site have already been written about in earlier articles, so I won’t bore you by going over the same stuff again.

What I might do which is a little bit sneaky of me but what the heck! I’ve got a crazily cheap eBook that I’m promoting at the moment on one of my newer sites. I’ll put up the link in a later post as the site is not quite ready for critical eyes! But I can sure post the link to the eBook…

A few days ago, internet marketer John Reese announced the imminent arrival of his new traffic generating widget called BlogRush. Well, it’s here and its live.

I just installed it here in this make money blog in the left sidebar and it looks ok.

The idea behind it is that it shows a list of five related blogs with links. Each time someone reads this page, my blog’s link will show up on someone else’s BlogRush widget, in the same category as this one. So what happens is the more page views I get, the more times my link is shown in other similar blogs, and so the chances of more people coming over to see what this is about.

A nice traffic generating tool, then. The more people who install the widget, the more traffic can be generated to each blog that is registered. Remember, the more traffic you can direct to your blog the more money you make!
