A Day of Writing

Today has been a heavy day of writing and even though it’s getting on for one o’clock in the morning, I still haven’t finished. Some days are spent doing a lot of website or blog design which is very time consuming and fiddly especially when I’m trying to get things to look just so.

But today, well today has been one of those days when I’ve had to go around and populate a lot of those sites and blogs that I’ve built with lots of fresh new content. I believe I’m up to around the eight thousand word mark so far, but I’ve one more small two hundred word review to write then it’s off to bed for me!

What’s all this got to do with the relentless drive to make money online?

Everything. You see, if you want to make money, you have to be able to write you own content and lots of it so that you stand a good chance of ranking highly in the search engines. While all the other SEO techniques are vitally important, be they on-site or off-site, you’ll be doing all that work for nothing if the website or blog you are SEO’ing has little or no decent content.

So a day of writing is really a day of preparation to make money with the sites that I’ve been filling with new content to keep the content hungry search engines satisfied!

Just a Matter of Time

Back to the old problem of time I’m afraid, only this time I’m not going to concern myself with the lack of it that I quite often find myself experiencing, but the ticking clock that is counting down the inevitable lifespan of this blog’s recently acquired page ranking.

I’m resigned to the fact that it is most likely a case of when, not if the proverbial rug gets pulled from under this Make Money blog’s feet.

Why do I say that?

Writing reviews for various sites is a legitimate way of earning a few bob for any blogger, but giving away a link in that review is seen as bad by the big brother of the internet – the big G. I’m not going into the argument here, it’s been aired to death everywhere already. Suffice it to say, it is cause enough for the privileges of rank to be denied to the very blogs that need them to make their few bob.

This is akin to cutting down a weed in your garden by the stem (the blogger), where the actual roots (the buyers of links) are left in the soil to regenerate into a new and even more rampant weed! Ha!

From the ashes the phoenix will most certainly rise to fly again!

So much for the advertisers, black hatters and anyone else who is still trying to game the system. Where does that leave the legitimate and hard working bloggers? As usual, its the little guys who suffer in the game of corporate chess. The pawns are always sacrificed so the major players can manoeuvre themselves into ever stronger corporate positions ready to pounce on their competitors and wipe them of the board.

Looks like I’m in the mood for parable and waxing lyrical today! Ho hum, that’s the bread and butter of the writer, I suppose.

So I await the falling axe with defiance and the fickle finger of fate will be heartily upturned in the direction of the executioner even as the head rolls lifeless to the ground.

The stuff of heroes and heroines methinks!

Writing Your Way Up

It’s a known fact that to stand any chance at succeeding as an internet marketer, you have to be able to write. That means be able to write in sufficient volume to be able to promote your sites via article submissions as well as blogging on more than just your own blogs.

These things need to be done in order to drive traffic to your own sites and if you simply cannot write, then how do you expect to be able to communicate with the vast numbers of potential customers that are out there on the internet?

Ok, there is video, but as far as promoting your business goes, you still need to be able to write. Sure, you can outsource, but that could end up costing you more than you make, especially for the first year or two.

So if you really can’t write very well, give yourself a chance of success and take a course on how to write for business - it will be the best investment you can make!
