Just going back over the release of my new website all about quick payday loans, here is some important information I learned about setting something like this up. It actually has more to do with a blog especially one on a free server like Blogger.
What I did was to complement the new website, Payday Loans, I also set up a free blog, called Payday Loans Page, the idea being that the blog will help to promote the website by sending traffic as well as linking one-way to it.
I was warned against monetizing the blog straight away, as this is exactly the sort of thing spammers will do to try to make money fast. Better to set the blog up and make a few posts to it first, to allay any twitching Google radar antennae of the possibility of another spam site being created.
The best way to go about it is to let time pass naturally and build some traffic first before monetizing the blog. After all, in it’s early days a blog won’t get much, if any traffic anyway, so it’s best to build up the content to around 10-12 posts first. This will allow the search engines to spider the blog and index it if they think it’s genuine. Which of course it is!
So now time will tell if things go to plan.
The website has already been spidered by the googlebot, so it knows it exists, thanks to the article I submitted to GoArticles. That was zero to indexed in a couple of days - not bad going!
next up is to start building some backlinks slowly over time as I add more content as well. In a couple of weeks, I should start to see the website appear in the serps.
We shall see…
